We've used this Nesco American Harvest FD-1018P 1000 Watt Food Dehydrator several times now (mostly for raw & vegetarian food prep) & have been very pleased with the operation & results. The temperature dial makes it easy to control & maintain a constant temperature.

This Nesco American Harvest FD-1018P 1000 Watt Food Dehydrator comes complete with the supplemental trays needed for drying batters like crackers & fruit leathers. It's easy to use & easy to clean up. Very happy with the quality construction & function. And it's made here in the USA!

For the price range it's in, it is the best buy. Results are better than described in the instructions. I dehydrate herbs all the way to beef jerky.  As a single parent wanting to store smaller amounts of dehydrated foods, I find this Nesco 600-Watt Food Dehydrator little device all I need. I prep the goodies while my son eats dinner and turn it on just when we head to bed and everything's ready to store by morning.

It's all we need to get amazing dehydrated food to store for a long time. Also saves me a great deal when spinach or fruitless or other veggies are just about to be of no use... I automatically put them in Nesco 600-Watt Food Dehydrator  and I save myself a bundle with out spoiling food. Excellent Appliance!

I bought this Excalibur 3900B 9 Tray Deluxe Dehydrator for drying fruit. Drying is very even across and between trays - no need to rotate or swap trays during drying. As you'd expect, smaller cut fruits dry faster than larger ones, so you'll want to check the results a couple of times to see how each piece is doing.

We live in a high desert. It's great inside in the winter. Sliced pitted fruits dry overnight as well as jerkies. I never use the machine to dry anything over 119°. This dehydrator beats the round variety as it has the side fan and adjustable thermostat. The side fan means you very rarely have to rotate trays and it cuts the drying time.
